CNC Miller Setter Operator

Job Description

We seek an experienced CNC Miller Setter / Operator, preferably with Haas experience, to join a successful manufacturing business which produces aerospace and commercial parts for some of the world’s best known organisations. As a successful CNC Miller Setter / Operator you will be working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists and operators and be required to help the Team Leader / Programmer to set up the machines. Training and support will be given to develop your skills. You will be working in a clean machine shop using the latest technologies.

Setting and operating the latest Haas CNC mills VF4-SS and VF6-SS, it is highly desirable that you have good experience of setting and ideally programming these machines or Fanuc based equivalent machines.  You will work closely with the Design Engineer on new products when required, working as part of a team to ensure quality and production targets are met and producing components from engineering drawings through to completion of final article, working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steels, specialist nickel alloys, Brass, copper, Aluminium and Plastics.

Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and be a strong team player who can work on their own when required. You should be competent in the use of hand-held measuring equipment.

39.0 hours per week (07.30 - 16.00 Monday – Thursday) and 7.30 – 15.00 (Friday), with overtime available.
