Job Description

A creative Furniture Designer with flair and a keen eye for detail, and an appreciation of the importance of producing manufacturable designs, is sought by leading player in the commercial furniture sector.

 

With the emphasis on bespoke, you will design furniture in a wide range of materials to meet customers’ aesthetic goals and their budget, which will vary greatly from project to project.

 

Degree or equivalent qualified in Furniture or Product Design or similar, your main responsibilities will include:

 

Main responsibilities of the Furniture Designer will include:

 

  • Creating conceptual drawings that are manufacturable.
  • Creating drawings for sales support and presentations (Solidworks & AutoCAD).
  • Creating visuals for sales support and presentations (Solidworks & StudioMax).
  • Developing future product ideas.

 

Suitably Qualified in Product Design or Furniture Design, you are a good communicator of ideas and the spoken and written word – this is a role which interfaces with colleagues, clients and suppliers.

 

You should be skilled in absorbing a brief and presenting back design proposals, working closely with a multi site design team. You should also be comfortable with self-managing several design projects simultaneously.
