An opportunity for a Lean experienced Quality Improvement professional to join an international business which designs and manufactures electro mechanical machines for the Life Science and Healthcare sectors. As a key member of a team engaged in the roll out of Lean, you will be in a 6-12 month fixed term contract which is likely to be extended.
Key duties of the Quality Improvement Co-Ordinator will include:
Putting in place a standard for site problem solving activities.
Coaching individuals and teams through the site 8D process for effective outcomes.
Leading a program of ensuring factory basic standards for Safety, People, Quality, Delivery
and Cost are in place, working closely with the Quality Manager and Operations Manager.
Working with site management to prioritise improvement activities.
Training and coaching lean principles in all areas of the site.
Supporting operations by ensuring all the correct processes are in place, to hand and trained out.
Providing support and coaching for team leadership to achieve improvement activities.
Track improvements and associated gains.
Assisting as required with quality engineering activities.
We seek a pleasant, confident and effective communicator (written and verbal) who is experienced in Lean manufacturing, and capable of training and supporting teams on 5S activities and leading Value Stream Mapping activities and supporting/coaching teams on problem solving techniques (8D).
Degree or equivalent Qualified, you have a strong grasp of Lean principles and of Lean implementation.
