Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a marketing professional to join an iconic London based, international organisation, a recognised leader in the provision of data, analytics and commercial information to its fee paying members throughout the world.

 

As Marketing Assistant you will support the Marketing Manager and Chief Commercial Officer in delivering a first class marketing support function across the business for all products and services to current and prospective members.

 

Key duties of the Marketing Assistant will include:

 

Assisting the Marketing Manager and the organisation’s external PR partner in maintaining the business’s social media streams, keeping them relevant and fresh with industry content. Maintaining an active presence for the business  on LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter!) and ensuring through social media platforms that the business optimises opportunities for members, and non-members, to gain a better understanding and awareness of the role fulfilled by the organisation.

 

Creating digital content in line with the company's brand guidelines and Social Media strategies.

Carrying out competitor analysis to improve business's marketing strategies.

Proactively engaging with the existing audience and employ strategies to drive more traffic and increase the company's Social Media engagement.

Scheduling Social Media posts using tools provided and relevant hashtags.

Researching and staying relevant on current social trends to maximise client engagement across Social Media platforms old, new and emerging.

Creating monthly analysis reports on Social Media performance.

Supporting the organisation of events and functions including the development of collateral and materials for industry forums/briefings, webinars, on-line lectures, meetings for members and other social events.

Completing post event follow-up and provide information on leads to the sales team to help them maximise ongoing sales opportunities.

Assisting in the production of high-quality marketing literature and articles and promotional materials advertising the organisation's products and services.

Supporting the design, preparation and production of internal communication mechanisms including regular internal staff updates/newsletters, videos to introduce new employees, and internal presentations.

Assisting in the management of marketing related and sales lead information to ensure the CRM is kept up to date.

Help ensure the website content is kept fresh and up to date.

 

 

With at least a year or so of post study digital and social media marketing experience behind you, and  a Degree (or equivalent) and/or recognised professional qualification in marketing, you must be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, and able to act as an ambassador for this highly respected and professional organisation.

Knowledge and experience of all mainstream social media.

 

Attention to detail and a creative ability to use sophisticated specialist software to produce high quality marketing materials,

 

Experience of working effectively with virtual teams in different time zones.

Excellent written skills with experience of authoring and developing professional reports, presentations and supporting materials.

 

Experience of e-mail marketing systems such as MailChimp, etc.

 

Ideally competency in Adobe Creative Suite or experience with software such as Canva or Vimeo Create.

 

Experience in the use of Teams, Asana, Excel, Powerpoint and other Microsoft products.

 

Your exceptional professionalism, patient, calm and organised approach, enable you to work  to strict deadlines and manage the completion of multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner. You are skilled in listening effectively to a variety of audiences and interpreting and presenting data succinctly in different formats to evidence your understanding.

 

You should have an analytical and enquiring mind, a creative approach and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment.
