Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

An opportunity for logistics professional to join a progressive global manufacturing business as Warehouse Supervisor, leading a team of 4.


Reporting to the Materials Manager, this is a key role in ensuring all incoming materials are receipted, stored and issued to production in line with the production plan.


You will be working directly with the Operations Manager and alongside other production staff, with the Materials Manager, Engineering and Quality to ensure that materials of correct quantity, specification and quality are receipted into the company, allowing production to meet agreed works order build schedule.


You will prioritise material movements to ensure that production demand is always kept as highest priority, deal proactively with potential material shortages, liaising with the Engineering and Quality Departments to understand the key specification of products/parts and required inspection parameters.


Also liaisng with Production to ensure that scheduled material is available on the shop-floor when required and ensuring non-conforming materials are reported to Quality and Purchasing Departments including checking each delivery for adherence to product ordered and quantity.


You will ensure that the MRP/ERP system is updated on a daily basis with all transactions

And make sure that all incoming goods are receipted and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner and where appropriate are transferred to the ERP system.


Your team will assist with outgoing Finished Product trailer storage and shipment, ensuring completion of necessary paperwork and system update and maintaing full details of product loaded and serial numbers where applicable, ensuring that load information is advised to appropriate staff for completion of outgoing paperwork.


Product returns will be under your jurisdiction in respect of ensuring all appropriate paperwork and system updating is undertaken.


You will assist with Kanban Cards and local stock replenishment, ensuring on a daily basis that replenishment requests are flagged to the Production Controller and that Kanban replenishments are delivered to the correct location and monitored and reported in a timely manner. Stock and inventory cycle counting must be accurate and you will assist in investigating any discrepancies in order to identify route cause and necessary corrective action.


You will manage your team effectively, training, developing and motivating them and ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.


With prior experience in a similar role in a manufacturing business you should be IT (Word/Excel) and MRP/ERP literate with excellent leadership, organizational administrative and communication skills.
